She Let Go...

Today’s Awakening: “I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you’re going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.” ― C. JoyBell C.

As I lay in bed this morning, in my twilight state, an image presented itself to me. After my morning meditation, I pulled the first color that called to me.

SHE revealed herSELF to me and I notice quite a bit about the image that appears to have been beyond my control. The image isn’t exactly what I “saw” in my minds eye, it’s different. It shifted as I flowed to the page.

That’s what I love about this process, if we truly follow the color and our inner voice and stay out of our idea of what it “should” look like, insights will come forth.

After writing the “She Let Go” poem into the piece, I searched Google for a “trust” quote for Today’s Awakening. The above quote was one of the choices today. I’d be lying if I said that I “Love” not knowing where I am going, as the author says, but I can say that over the many years that I have been working this process, I have learned to work through the myriad of emotions and projections that surface when there is a void….emptiness and something beyond what I can see from this vantage point.

That’s the true order of how this piece unfolded. That’s why I believe in the Creative Awakenings practice and process. That’s why I although I am gripping in moments, I have a sense that miracles do in fact happen
